S. D. College Paraiya, Gaya (Bihar) is an affiliated unit of Magadh University, Bodhgaya, Bihar. Established on 2nd October 1978 in a rural region, this is the only college in the area. It has been serving the need of higher education of local rural people as well as students from nearby towns.
The government of Bihar has recognized this unit as a permanent financial aided college since 4th September 2014 (letter no. 15/M1-120/2013-1743). The college is recognized under 2(F) and 12(b) of the UGC Act.
Situated approx.20km from district headquarter Gaya, the college is reachable by road and railways from rest of the country. Away from rush and pollution of cities, located in purely rural area, the sprawling 33 acres peaceful and green campus gives students unique learning experience. Separate buildings for different disciplines, well equipped laboratories, lecture theatres, seminar halls, etc. facilitates students and teachers best study environments. Same time hostel for girls and boys, playgrounds, indoor sports complex, cafeteria, etc. enhances stay and social life of students in the campus. A central library remains open dawn to dusk for students and teachers.
The college has 100 extremely supportive faculties who mentor and guide students. The college is known for good examination result of students.
